This is a cozy family establishment close to Santa Clara Caltrain station. Came here on a Friday evening and was able to snag a seat without any wait. Service was welcoming and pretty quick.
Tried the house special Men-Bei Ramen. It had a rich garlicky broth, well cooked noodles, egg and pork slices. The portion size was decent for about $13. Got the broth at the regular spice level, but you can get it extra hot for a small charge(strange, but nbd).

Spontaneous ramen trip today! My friend chose this place pretty last minute so I wasn't able to do any research beforehand. All my ramen experiences have been in SoCal so I don't know much about the ramen places up here. It does seem like a hole in wall establishment, and is probably a family owned business.
The menu wasn't too crazy but a lot to read. (Shout out to Yelp for all the pictures of the food!) Both me and my friend ended up getting the Men-Bei Ramen. We asked for it to be spicy. I probably should've asked for it to be more spicy but they charge for that. Quite a strange concept for me. The broth was very rich and flavorful but just a tad bit salty after eating it for a while. Noodles were cooked perfectly. The chashu was also very tender with a hint of soy sauce to it. There was also half an egg, bean sprouts, pickled ginger, and onion. Typical ramen toppings that they didn't charge for. Something that I really appreciated was definitely the portion size. For roughly $13, it was a lot of food. Overall, solid meal! Nothing too mind blowing. This place is super convenient (and it's also near Costco), so I'll definitely be back to fulfill my ramen cravings! -

MEN-BEI, YOU ROCK!! Swung by here to place a to-go order of scrumptious and gigantic pieces of Shu Mai. I'm not a to-go person rather, I prefer dine-in. However, I was pressed for time and had to go home right away. When I received my to-go order, it was a huge bag. I was expecting a small one. The lady owner said her husband comped me a little extra. I was astonished!! I was asked to pay for Shu Mai only (4 pieces $6.50.) With deep gratitude, I thanked her profusely!! Saw her husband in the kitchen and waved at him. Bless their hearts.
When I got home, I was shocked to see those "little extra." Gyoza, 7 pieces worth $5.75 and a side order of delicious fried rice complete with dipping sauce packets. Shared it with my hubby who is also equally grateful. What a gratifying meal! The owners know how to appreciate loyal patrons!

Nice find next to Costco with ample parking - if you can make it after shopping with perishables in the trunk, I highly recommend the FRIED RICE. That is the highlight here. You can order a la carte or along with a Ramen bowl. It's unique at first glance for its vibrancy and color (carrot bits and red ginger garnish). The rice grains are cooked through perfectly, fluffy but not sticky. When in doubt, order more, since it's great leftover food as well!
Ramen bowls are very good as well - shoyu, shio or miso broth choices, if anything, tends to be on the salty side. Cha-shu pork, brown egg and lettuce accompany the noodles.
Finally, this is one of the few places I know that serve Ma-po tofu - a classic Taiwanese dish that although doesn't look like much, is akin to home cooking and hits the spot every time. -

I tried the shoyu ramen and thought it was just okay. The noodles were somewhat overcooked and the broth was watery. I am used to rich and flavorful broth. The egg was also overcooked and on the firmer side. The vegetables included cabbage, which did not blend well with the meal.
Customer service was good. I thought it was odd that there is a $10.95 minimum order per person policy. There is plenty of parking as it was not at all crowded. It was also surprisingly empty for a Friday night. The restaurant was at most half full during my visit.
